On April 10, the Two T’s in A Pod podcast co-host revealed a planned “15th time” for a melanoma removal on her Instagram Stories.
“On my way to my next surgery with Dr. Fairies (my oncologist) to cut out the spot on my arm,” Teddi wrote. Her husband, Edwin Arroyave, was tagged. “Trying to be positive and happy I can do this one awake. I just cry everytime when I get the shots for some reason. Not scared of shots, it’s just the knowing they are about to cut into me again right after I get one.”
An update picture showed the RHOBH alum with an ice pack on her arm.
“After 3 days of no sleep, I was able to nap,” she captioned the photo. “I did wake up to my arm feeling like it was stung by 20 bees but this too shall pass.”
“Get you skin checks!!!” Teddi reminded followers.
Most recently, the former Bravolebrity underwent an extensive surgery in December. The procedure “went well,” according to Teddi who posted about the results at the time.
“I specifically went through a ‘wide excision melanoma, soft tissue defect reconstruction with adjacent tissue rearrangement.’ Basically they cut out the area of my shoulder and replaced it with a flap of skin from below on my back (swipe to see the area before surgery). But the pain and discomfort are all worth it,” she added.
Three months later, Teddi shared her recovery with a side-by-side set of photos of the scars.
“What a difference 3 months can make! My scar is healing nicely, and I have the best doctors to thank,” she wrote.
