The mom of two confirmed the news just hours after the RHOP Season 8 reunion concluded.
Robyn Dixon is leaving The Real Housewives of Potomac.
She confirmed her departure from the series on April 15, one day after the three-part Season 8 reunion concluded.
Robyn Dixon Exits RHOP After 8 Seasons
The Embellished by Robyn Dixon founder announced her exit from RHOP on an episode of her podcast, which dropped on April 15. Robyn has been part of the RHOP cast since the show first premiered in 2016 along with fellow castmates Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, and Gizelle Bryant.
Robyn’s news comes just three weeks after Candiace Dillard Bassett announced her own departure from the show.
“As I embark on a new chapter after six remarkable years with The Real Housewives of Potomac, I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth and moments of introspection that have defined this journey,” Candiace said in a statement to PEOPLE on March 25. “With a whirlwind of new opportunities and responsibilities on my plate, I have decided to take a break from RHOP.”
Robyn Dixon’s RHOP Journey
Over the years, viewers have watched Robyn navigate financial issues, the growth of her various business ventures — including her hat line, her podcast, and her upcoming brick-and-mortar skincare franchise storefront.
Robyn’s personal life has also gone through some major changes since RHOP first debuted. When the show premiered, Robyn was divorced from retired NBA player, Juan Dixon, but the two were still living together because of some financial issues.
Juan and Robyn ultimately did reconcile, and the former basketball player popped the question (for the second time) in 2019. The tender moment was featured on the RHOP Season 5 finale.
After a long engagement, Robyn and Juan quietly tied the knot in front of just a few of their family members, including their two sons, Corey and Carter, in Maryland in August 2022. Footage from the big day was shown on the Season 7 finale.
On Season 8, which premiered in November 2023, Juan was looking to figure out his next career move after getting fired from his role as the head basketball coach at Coppin State University.
In the final moments of the Season 8 finale, an update about the couple popped up on the screen.
“Robyn has signed a lease for her first GLO30 location and hopes to have doors open in 2024,” it read. “As for the world’s opinion on her and Juan’s marriage? The Dixon’s ‘100 percent DON’T CARE.'”
