Bravo denies Andy Cohen exit rumors: ‘Absolutely no truth to this story’

A spokesperson for the network is pushing back on a report saying that the “Real Housewives” producer was negotiating a “departure package.”

Andy Cohen and Bravo are sticking together.

In a sharply worded statement Thursday, a spokesperson for the network denied a recent report indicating that the Real Housewives mastermind was negotiating his exit from Bravo amid “swirling controversy and falling ratings.”

“There is absolutely no truth to this story in that tabloid, obviously made up by a source who is not credible,” the Bravo spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly. A representative for Cohen declined to comment further.

The denial came in response to an In Touch Weekly article that said Cohen, 55, was “in discussions to part ways with the network he helped shape.” The outlet quoted an unnamed source as saying, “Negotiations for Cohen’s departure package are underway as he grapples with the fallout from mounting accusations by his stars.”

The accusations in question hail from Real Housewives of New York City star Leah McSweeney and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville.

McSweeney sued Cohen and Bravo in February for allegedly harassing, discriminating, and retaliating against her as a “woman with disabilities, such as alcohol use disorder and various mental health disorders, all in the name of selling drama.” Cohen has denied the allegations.

That same month, Glanville called for Cohen’s firing, saying via her lawyers that “In a video sent by Mr. Cohen to Ms. Glanville in 2022, Mr. Cohen — appearing obviously inebriated — boasted of his intention to sleep with another Bravo star that night while thinking of her and invited her to watch via Facetime.”

Cohen responded to Glanville’s allegation on social media, writing, “The video shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking to Brandi. It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize.”

Cohen serves as an executive producer on the Real Housewives shows and hosts the talk show Watch What Happens Live, as well as Bravo’s numerous reunion specials.
