The rebooted season of The Real Housewives of New York may have aired its reunion in October of 2023, but there are still unresolved matters to discuss. Or perhaps it’s just Erin Lichy who feels the need for resolve. Especially considering she was put on the spot at the Season 14 reunion for shady comments about co-star Jenna Lyons.
Last month, Bravo confirmed that the entire re-booted cast will be returning for Season 15. So perhaps that created an urgency for the real estate professional to discuss her comments about the quirky RHONY favorite.
Erin didn’t think the group would “gel” with Jenna
It all went down during the Season 14 reunion. Model Ubah Hassan accused Erin of being less than enthusiastic about Jenna joining the cast. Host Andy Cohen called it a “side bomb” at the time.
“I think we should focus on why you guys didn’t want Jenna on the show,” Ubah said at the reunion
Fast forward to April 8, 2024, and Erin chose to address the comment on Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef, calling it a statement that “literally made no sense.” The Bravolebrity shared some context as well.
“We were really close with one of our producers, and we were Facetiming with them, popping champagne. We were just being silly,” Erin explained. “And they told us about [Jenna joining the cast]. And we were like ‘Huh?’… Because she was such a departure from everybody else. And she’s Jenna, and she’s got this big career. So we were just like, ‘That’s interesting. Like I don’t see how that is gonna gel. Are we all gonna connect?’ We didn’t know.”
“There wasn’t shade. It’s just like, I’m confused,” she added. “That’s it. It was literally not meant to be like, ‘No, if she does the show, we’re not doing it.’”
Erin gives Jenna a lot of credit for going “out of her comfort zone”

It came down to Erin feeling confused because she “really did not know Jenna.” Yet, surprisingly, they ended up connecting while filming the show. She “did not expect to feel as close with her.”
“I really didn’t,” Erin reacted. “And I would never care to be close to someone, because I didn’t even know she was. Not to be a [expletive], but I didn’t know. I didn’t know who she was.”
Jenna got a lot of credit from her cast mates for going out of her comfort zone.
“She’ll show up and she goes out of her comfort zone,” Erin opined. “We saw her go back to her comfort zone a couple times. I don’t think she’s on that level. I think she’s opening up. She’s told us she never had a group of girlfriends. She never had that. So this must be very new for her.”
Interestingly, Erin thinks Jenna opened up a lot. Will RHONY fans get to see something different from Jenna next season? And was Erin’s explanation enough to make amends for the reunion bomb? Season 15 has a lot of potential for drama for sure.
