Houston posted on a message Instagram this morning: “Celebrating the Life and Career of One of Greatest Champions and Human Beings in history. Appreciative to have grown up 3 houses down from the Clay family in#LouisvilleKy #GrandAvenue and remember the stories of his Impact on the community.
“We salute him for his Faith and Confidence in himself and others. For his Sacrifice and willingness to give up Personal Glory for the glory of something bigger and positive, and his Legacy of allowing his Immense platform to reflect a genuine love for people and Humanity.’’
In the documentary, Houston said, “Whenever I talk about being from Louisville, one of the things I freely bring up, he lived down the street. When you talk about Ali, you’re talking about the greatest of all time. This where it all started, so living down the street, it’s a real sense of pride. The thing about his legacy, it was his values. It wasn’t so much what he did but how he did it.’’
Houston’s mother, Alice, told the Knicks’ website Saturday: “He could transform faster than anybody I’ve ever seen. Transform into a master storyteller, entertainer, magician.’’
