Andy Cohen recently said Marlo Hampton will always be part of the Bravo family, despite her leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The fashion maven announced her exit from the beloved series during a recent interview. She noted her “contract” expired at the end of Season 15. “This break from RHOA is a fresh start, allowing me the space to participate in new creative entertainment projects focused on my future and not reliving my past.”
Marlo, who joined the series as a “friend of” during Season 4, certainly made her mark on the franchise. After sticking it out as a friend for many seasons, the Le’Archive owner was finally given a peach during Season 14. Now, she’s hoping to spend the next chapter of her life focusing on her nephews and growing her brand.
Andy Cohen reacts to Marlo’s exit … says there’s an “open door” for her potential return
On his radio show, Andy Cohen Live, the Bravo patriarch spoke about Marlo’s exit and gave her the flowers she deserved. “I love Marlo,” he began. “… no one has had a run on the Housewives like she’s had. She was a friend for so many years … and it was so great when she finally got her peach. I also loved getting to know her in a deeper way after she did get her peach.”
Andy continued: “I have to say, I thought that what she said [about] her boys … entering a really pivotal point in their lives where it is going to benefit them to have her around more. … I think that’s great on her part that she sees that [and] is focused on her representation in their eyes and getting back to showing her multifaceted lifestyle of philanthropy, fashion, and fabulosity.”
Regarding a potential comeback season for Marlo, Andy seems to be 100 percent here for it.
“I hope that we have not seen the last of Marlo Hampton, and I have a feeling we haven’t. I will look forward to having her back in the clubhouse whenever she wants, and, you know, it’s an open door with Atlanta, with Marlo.”
Marlo’s exit comes after a wave of exciting developments occurring in Atlanta. Series veteran Kandi Burruss said goodbye to the franchise after 14 years, while Porsha Williams (Guobadia?) said hello. We’ll keep you posted on the other news when it becomes available.
