Maci has been fortunate on the family front lately. She and Ryan are slowly trying to build a cordial relationship for the sake of their son Bentley. The blended family even had a cute Easter celebration together. But that might be the extent of the former Teen Mom star’s fortune for now. Maci is facing some big financial troubles.
On May 24, 2023, the star had a $14,277 tax lien. Somehow, she also owed the State of California $12,569 in 2017. But we are not sure how a Tenessee resident owed an amount to California. Even before this, MTV star had many problems with money. It seems like this might be one of the constants in Maci’s life.
In 2011, Maci owed the IRS $78,308. Sources confirmed the amount in 2014. The star also had 2012 tax liens. Luckily, she was able to pay these two back years ago. But if her newest troubles are any indication, Maci might be back to square one. The Teen Mom star and her husband are in financial trouble again.
There were reports that Maci owes the government over $150k in federal taxes. She has two federal liens for the year 2024. One is worth $49,383.00 and lists only Maci as the debtor. The other is worth $105,346.00 and lists both Maci and Taylor as debtors. She has had financial liens in previous years as well, but these are her new ones. She might even owe the government more than $500k.
Teen Mom: How Do Maci & Ryan Co-Parent Bentley?
Maci and Ryan didn’t have a strong relationship in the past. But the Teen Mom stars are trying to improve for their son Bentley’s sake. Maci revealed in an interview that it had been “hard.” However, their “mutual respect” for each other helped establish better communication.
The pair is better at communicating now and asks each other “question(s)” without hesitation. While Maci and Ryan might be “just friends,” they have matured so much as co-parents. They “talk” and “handle” things better and have gentler “conversations” in “understanding way(s).”
Maci feels she and Ryan are doing well. Things are working for everyone. Maci had learned to leave Bentley “out a lot” in some of her and Ryan’s parental conversations. Since the teen “doesn’t want to know certain things,” she doesn’t force him. But she and Ryan make sure to ask Bentley for his opinions.
