Bachelor Nation is expecting a new addition.
The “Bachelor” host Jesse Palmer, 44, and his wife, Emely Fardo, 34, are expecting their first baby — a daughter — in early January.
The couple shared the exciting news on Instagram Friday alongside a pair of maternity pics that they took at the beach.
“We’ve been keeping a secret,” they captioned the post. “Our family is growing and our hearts are so full! This is a dream come true for us and we’re so thrilled to be welcoming our baby girl in January 2024 🎀💕.”
In an interview with People, Palmer, who has two brothers and four nephews, gushed about how excited he is to finally get a “female addition” to his family.
“Emely has always wanted a daughter and she is so maternal by nature, I’ve always known that she is going to be the best mom,” he said.
Palmer is already convinced he won’t be much of a disciplinarian.
“I’m so excited to share life with our daughter, take her on fun adventures and share with her the lessons this life has taught us,” she told the outlet.
Luckily, she said she has been feeling “really good up to this point” and is “working out daily.”
Palmer, who was cast in 2004 as the bachelor on the fifth season of the dating show, started dating Fardo in 2017. Two years later, they were engaged during a surprise getaway trip to Paris.
The pair secretly wed in June 2020 after postponing their planned Provence wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We were only able to invite a small group of close friends that live in the greater NYC area, and that were in quarantine at the time,” Palmer told People in October 2021.
Last July, the couple re-tied the knot in the gardens of Château De La Gaude in France.
“Emely and I finally tied the knot (again) in front of our immediate families in Provence, France,” the Canadian television personality shared on Instagram at the time. “Everything was PERFECT.
“Such a magical day full of love, tears (I maybe cried…a lot) and gratitude.”
Fardo added in her own post that marrying the “love of my life” in front of her “immediate family” was “a dream come true and the most beautiful and emocional [sic] day of my life!”
