Charity Lawson Shares the ‘Hardest Part’ of Going from ‘Bachelorette’ to Real Life with Dotun Olubeko

Opening up.

Bachelor Nation fans saw Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko fall in love and get engaged on Season 20 of “The Bachelorette.”

Since their time on the show, the two have been enjoying time together with their family and friends and have moved in together in New York City.

Now, Charity took to Instagram for a Q&A, where she answered fan questions about her relationship with Dotun and more.

One fan asked Charity what the hardest part of transitioning from being on “The Bachelorette” with Dotun to starting real life together.

Charity got candid, saying, “I think as weird as it sounds, nothing was necessarily hard, it was just a bit of an adjustment period, like more surprising than hard, to go from having limited time with someone on a TV show to spending the majority of your time with them. Even though this happened during DWTS, Dotun and I nurtured our relationship so much and I’m forever grateful for that.”

The former Bachelorette went on, saying, “Whenever you do live with someone, you learn so much more about their quirks, habits, routines, etc. that you don’t see ever on the show, which is the fun and surprising element. But all in all, learning this together I believe is what made us even stronger. You learn to find where all these things can seamlessly blend together, even with being different.”

How sweet! We love Charity and Dotun’s love.

Charity also shared that she and Dotun have an exciting trip coming up, saying, “I am a busy little bumble bee this next month, but as far as actual vacations and relaxing go, Dotun and I are headed to Grenada, Hawaii on a fun couple’s trip with Kaity and Zach and Joey and Kelsey! And then we are finally going to GREECE!”

We love a Bachelor Nation mini reunion!

During the Q&A, Charity shared that she’s still close with many of her friends from the show, saying, “I’m still very close with the girls from Zach’s season. The friendships we all have are like no other. Jess, Kaity, Kat, Mercedes, Kylee, Brooklyn, Davia, Greer, Aly, and I also love my girl Rachel from Joey’s season! I’m also very close with my producers, love them bad! Do they count?”

So great hearing from Charity, and we can’t wait to follow along on all the exciting plans she has coming up.
