The Vanderpump Rules castmates open up about their argument over Lala’s conversation with Jo Wenberg.
On Season 11, Episode 11 of Vanderpump Rules, Katie Maloney and Lala Kent had a heated conversation after Lala revealed she met with Jo Wenberg. As Lala explained in the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 After Show video above, although “Katie was livid” about Lala’s lunch with Jo, Lala feels there is a difference in the way she and Katie show up for each other in their friendship.
Lala Kent explains why she met with Jo Wenberg despite Katie Maloney’s feelings about her
“Listen, we all have every right to feel however we want to feel,” Lala said in the video above. “Just like I have the right to not care how you feel. Because I have been a dog in everyone’s fight…I’m like a dog with rabies for all of these bitches and not once has it ever been reciprocated. So now, I’m just gonna do whatever the f-ck I want.”
As Katie shared earlier this season on Vanderpump Rules, her problems with Jo stemmed from feeling “very weird” about Jo temporarily moving in with Tom Schwartz after initially showing Katie support amid the former couple’s divorce.
Still, Lala explained in the video above, “Your beef is your beef. I’m not inheriting it.”
“I’m good if you want to harbor it. I hope that serves you well,” she continued. “But you’re not going to project onto me. You’re certainly not going to say that I’m not loyal. Because I am f-cking loyal. Just because I go get a cheese dog with this bitch doesn’t mean she’s going to come to family dinners with me.”

During the Vanderpump Rules episode, Lala explained to Katie that part of the reason she agreed to meet with Jo was that she was trying to focus on a softer side of herself. Katie, however, didn’t see it that way.
“I think she genuinely wants to embrace that side of her, but I think that has to come from a healing journey and really a lot of introspective work and practice and applying that in your day-to-day life,” Katie said in the video above. “She is that…She is so warm…but it wasn’t coming across like the most authentic way that I know it to be.”
“It was almost this forced thing of like, ‘Why are you overextending yourself?'” she added. “You’re twisting into knots and really trying to prove something. I’m like, ‘You don’t have to prove this. Just be it.'”

In the clip above, Brittany Cartwright asked Lala if she feels Katie defends her in the same way Lala does Katie. “I just go heavy in the paint whereas I don’t feel like anybody on the cast has ever done that for me,” Lala responded “So it’s like, ‘Why am I doing this? Why am I riding so hard with such conviction on your behalf when I’m not affected at all by it and no one does the same for me?'”
As for that lunch with Jo, Lala explained, “Jo doesn’t affect my life that much. If the girl wants to come around and just make sure that she can come around with Schwartz and not be bullied and I can [assure] her of that, I’m gonna go do that.”
“It doesn’t mean that we’re gonna go get cocktails every Friday night,” she noted. “She ain’t my wing-woman. It’s just beyond.”
