Andy Cohen dishes on Candiace Dillard’s pregnancy announcement and casting rumors about season 15 of RHONY.
Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen is opening about some of the latest news and gossip making its way around the Bravoverse.
On his SiriusXM show, Andy Cohen Live, the Watch What Happens Live host dished on Candaice Dillard‘s pregnancy announcement and played coy about some casting rumors about season 15 of RHONY.
“Very happy for Candiace’s pregnancy news. She’s 13 weeks she announced this week. When we talked about her leaving the show, she confided that she was pregnant, and I was so excited, and I just think it’s great. It’s great. I’m very happy for them. This is wonderful,” Andy Cohen said.
On April 15, Candiace announced that she was expecting her first child with husband, Chris Bassett. This happy news comes just weeks after the actress and singer revealed that she would not be returning for season 9 of the Real Housewives of Potomac.
After chatting about Canidace’s happy news, Andy’s co-host John Hill then brought up the rumors that fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff is joining the season 15 cast of RHONY.
“Rebecca Minkoff is gonna join the Housewives of New York City. Is that correct? Can you confirm or deny or is she just a friend of right now? She’s been filming,” Hill said before asking, “What’s the deal?”
Naturally Andy played coy, simply replying: “I can’t say anything.”
“Alright. Well, everyone, one source was like, “Oh, she’s confirmed. She’s on the show.” The other was like, “She’s just been filming. We’ll see.” I didn’t realize she’s a Scientologist. That’s fun, so I’ll keep my eye out for anything else and keep asking when you can say something,” Hill said in response before dropping the subject.
Despite Andy keeping his lips zipped on rumors Rebecca Minkoff is joining RHONY, the designer was spotted filming with the New York Housewives over the weekend.
Last week, multiple outlets including PEOPLE and Deadline reported that the fashion designer has been filming for season 15 of the Real Housewives of New York.
A source close to production tells PEOPLE that the 42-year-old “will appear in a Friend capacity on the rebooted reality series.”
Yet, a source tells Deadline that there is a chance Rebecca Minkoff could be holding an apple by the time season 15 debuts later this year.
The fashion designer, who co-owns the Rebecca Minkoff brand with her brother, Uri Minkoff, is no stranger to Bravo as she’s appeared as a guest judge on Project Runway. She’s also appeared on E!’s So Cosmo and Lifetime’s Project Runway: Fashion Startup.
Bravo recently announced that the entire season 14 cast of RHONY, including stars Jessel Taank, Jenna Lyons, Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, and Brynn Whitfield would all be returning for the new season.
Filming for season 15 began earlier this month.
RHONY will return to Bravo for season 15 in late 2024.
