Kim Zolciak is firing back after sharing a post that seemed to indicate that her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, had passed away.
How to Watch
In case you missed it, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum got fans (and her daughter, Ariana Biermann) talking when she shared a photo with Kroy on her Instagram Stories featuring a “RIP” hashtag.
Ariana later took to her TikTok feed to say that she didn’t have “any f-cking words” for her mom’s post, and Kim is now clarifying why she shared the post in the first place.
Kim Zolciak Defends Her Post About Ex-Husband Kroy Biermann
Just a few days after Kim’s initial post made waves online — and in her family — she shared yet another Instagram post about a “death.” The former peach holder posted a black and white selfie with her estranged husband on her feed.
“I am TIRED OF ALL THE LIES and ACCUSATIONS,” she captioned the post. “EVERY DAY It’s always something new. I’m tired of so much BS being thrown my way. So you want to know ‘what died?’ Here’s the truth.
The Don’t Be Tardy alum then shared a statement about her initial eyebrow-raising post via Warped Speed.
“So everyone in the world, it seems, is talking about my post yesterday,” she said. “Let’s be clear — at no point did I claim Kroy was dead nor did I allude to that.”
Kim said that she used “RIP” in her post because the demise of her marriage felt like a death in her family.
“In fact, I used a picture of BOTH of us and said #RIP — and, frankly, the end of my relationship was like a death of sorts so #RIP to that,” she continued.
Kim doubled down on the post once again, noting that the link she shared was about public figures who had died in 2023.
“And the story it linked to also had nothing to do with Kroy dying,” Kim said. “The story was a tribute to many we’ve lost this past year. And yes my relationship was lost too so it seemed fitting.”

Kim then addressed those, including her daughter, who believed that something had happened to Kroy.
“People also need to get serious,” she continued to Warped Speed. “Do you actually think if Kroy died — even with all of the issues we’ve had — my first instinct would be to go to my Instagram and post #LinkInBio with his pic and #RIP attached?”
In the conclusion of her statement, Kim revealed that she would never inform her followers about such a dramatic event via a “Link in Bio” post.
“Anyone who knows me — including my dear fans — know that I’d have more tact and class and compassion than that,” she finished.
