Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Potomac just finished airing, and it’s already out with the old and in with the new. Not only does it seem like Bravo has mostly decided on a cast, but filming for season 9 of the show is set to begin sooner than usual. Of course, this comes after news that neither Candiace Dillard-Bassett nor Robyn Dixon will be returning. Plus, there are reports that Nneka Ihim got the axe after one season.
As fans know, RHOP season 8 recently wrapped with a three-part reunion in which Andy Cohen set the goal of the ladies being able to move forward from their drama and come together. This followed a season of the show that most fans called forgettable due to the divisiveness.
Now, TV Deets has some exclusive details about the potential cast for season 9 of RHOP. According to them, Ashley Darby, Gizelle Bryant, Mia Thornton, Karen Huger, and Wendy Osefo will begin filming the new season at the end of this month.
Regarding Nneka, she has not confirmed her exit from the show. However, a source told TV Deets that she is indeed not returning. According to the outlet, Keiarna Stewart, who was a friend of for season eight, is also set to return!

That’s not all. Apparently, production has already filmed test scenes with some potential new ladies and has plans to add a few fresh faces.
It’s important to note that the people at TV Deets seem to have a confirmed source close to RHOP. As their report states, they first reported on Nneka’s casting and also knew the destination for the cast trip.
Unfortunately, the producers behind RHOP have some work to do in order to make up for last season. Hopefully, the show can get back on track before people start to doubt it. Naturally, it seems Karen’s recent DUI might be a big part of next season, which is one reason Bravo may have wanted to start filming so soon this time around.
