Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Noella Bergener claims she and her two children are ‘squatting’ in their Newport Beach mansion amid her contentious divorce with James Bergener.

The 36-year-old reality star revealed to Us Weekly that she is still struggling financially after her estranged husband ‘cut off’ access to all but ‘one singular credit card’ and he has ‘not paid the rent’ on their 10,000 sq ft mansion.

James however contests that he’s not financially responsible for paying rent on the mansion anymore as it was only leased for the filming of the show and until November 2021.

Bergener said there’s been ‘no changes in the finances’ since he ‘abandoned’ she and her two children in July.

‘Everything’s exactly the same. He cut off my credit cards [and they] have not been turned back on. I have access to one singular credit card,’ she said, adding that it was only available for use ‘through Instacart at Amazon.’

‘We’re just buying everything we can through Amazon, like stocking up on, like, a year’s worth of diapers. He could shut it off at any moment. Then I literally would have to look at some serious options.’

Noella claimed that as James, 50, has not paid rent ‘we’re currently squatting in our 10,000 square foot mansion, which is very eerie.

‘I’ve never gone my life without paying a bill. So to feel like I’m just constantly apologizing to our property manager — and they have been so amazing and very understanding. But I understand we have an obligation and that he’s run from them is icky.’

James  claims however that he’s upheld his portion of the bargain. ‘Specifically, as to the ‘mansion,’ this should come as no surprise to Noella, as it was only leased for the filming of the RHOC and leased through November 2021.

‘I met all my legal obligations through the end of the lease,’ he told the publication, as she’s now been there for two months longer than was contracted.

The pair who married in June 2020, share a two-year-old son James Jr. — who has autism — and she also is mother to a seven-year-old daughter Coco from a previous marriage.

James — who reportedly owes $5.8 million in tax debt that dates back to 2018 — first served Noella divorce papers in July, but as her mother received them it ‘didn’t count.’

She was then served a second time, with the lawyer disguising the papers as a flower delivery.

‘Sunday, I walk out to the foyer and there’s a man standing there with beautiful flowers. And I’m crying and ask ‘where’s the note?’ He’s like ‘are you Noella?’ And I said ‘yes.’ And he says ‘here you’ve been served’,’ she recalled on the hit Bravo show.

On Christmas Eve James took to Instagram to discredit Noella’s statements, maintaining that he’s continued to support their son financially.

‘I have not abandoned him. Since separating from Noella, I’ve paid nearly $100,000 in housing. I’ve paid over $50,000 in household goods and supplies for him,’ he claimed.

‘Over $15,000 in childcare and therapy. I continue to support my son and I always will. Again, I am not a perfect man, but the love I have for my son is, and I will never abandon him or leave him.’

James’ lawyer claims that the former pair’s divorce proceedings were finalized in December 2021, however Noella maintained that she is still awaiting James’ signature in order to finalize the agreement.

‘We both have ironed out all the details, like, it’s ready to go. We just need to sign, I’m ready to sign and he’s just not doing it. So here we are,’ she told the publication. ‘Let’s just finish this so we could just be done and put this in our rearview mirror.’
