Andy Cohen was questioned about Kyle Richards‘ potential Real Housewives of Beverly Hills return and rumors of an ultimatum on Thursday night’s Watch What Happens Live.
As Summer House‘s Danielle Olivera, 35, and Dateline‘s Andrea Canning, 51, joined Andy, 55, in the Bravo Clubhouse, Andrea asked him whether it was true or false that Kyle would not be asked back to the show if she didn’t agree to highlight her alleged romance with country singer Morgan Wade, 29.
“Well, I think that Kyle is always invited back to [RHOBH] and I think that the supposition is that she opens up about her life,” Andy explained on the May 2 episode of WWHL.
Then, when Andrea pointed out that Kyle had been “wishy-washy” about Morgan in season 13, Andy seemingly defended Kyle, saying, “She’s told her story.”
Still, Andrea pressed on, suggesting there was more to the story and asking if Kyle and Morgan were in a sexual relationship or not.
“We will re-ask Kyle at the beginning of the season,” Andy vowed.
Meanwhile, on the May 1 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy reacted to Vanderpump Rules being put on pause ahead of season 14.
“As y’all know, I don’t produce Vanderpump Rules. We used to do this all the time with the Housewives. We would say, ‘You know what? Let’s put cameras down for four or five months and come back to them and they will have lived life. Things will be different,’” he shared.
Looking back at Ariana Madix‘s appearance on WWHL on Tuesday, Andy said people forget, especially when it comes to Ariana, how soon cameras were picked back up after the reveal of Tom Sandoval, 41, and Rachel “Raquel” Leviss‘ affair.
“That’s why she’s still in the violently angry stage and you can understand that,” he reasoned.
“I always think it’s great,” Andy continued of a production pause. “Sometimes you want to pick cameras right up quickly because there’s stuff happening and you want to get in there right away, and sometimes you do want people to live their lives and see how things develop.”
“I think it’s a very good idea,” he added.
