Christina Applegate reveals she could have been a Housewife but passed on an opportunity to join the RHOBH cast.
On Tuesday’s episode of her MeSsy podcast, the actress shared that she was approached to join the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills over a decade ago but turned down the offer.
“And what’s funny is I ended up becoming really good friends with the executive producer of it because our kids went to school together,” Christina Applegate told her podcast co-host, Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
“And he’s like, ‘Oh, yeah, we asked you.’ I said, ‘Chris, now that you know me, would I have been a fun “Housewife”?’ He’s like, ‘No, it would’ve been the most boring s–t I’ve ever seen in my life.’”
The 52-year-old agreed that she would have been a boring Housewife due to her antisocial tendencies.
“I wouldn’t have shown up to any dinners,” she shared. “I would’ve been in my sweatpants, and I’d be lying in bed. What fun is that? No, none of that. No, no. I would be the worst ‘Housewife’ anyway.”
Although she didn’t join the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she has remained a fan of Bravo’s Real Housewives franchises especially The Real Housewives of New York.
If Christina had joined the cast of RHOBH, she would been among numerous other actresses who starred on the franchise including Kyle Richards, Kim Richards, Denise Richards, Camille Grammer, Lisa Rinna, Garcelle Beauvais, and Eileen Davidson.
Production for season 14 of RHOBH reportedly begins in April.
