Andy Cohen is feeling a certain way about Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s separation. There is no certainty which way things will go. Currently, the Kentucky native moved out of the family home and is residing at various AirBnb’s. Both parties are keeping matters civil for the sake of their three-year-old son Cruz.
As an executive producer for Bravo, Andy also has an interest in the estranged couple’s continued ability to work together and film The Valley. So how does the Watch What Happens Live host intuit what the future holds for Jax and Brittany?
Andy disagrees with his audience poll
The former Vanderpump Rules couple announced their separation after five years of marriage just shy of the March 19 premiere of The Valley. This caused some VPR fans to question whether it was an orchestrated stunt to garner interest in the new spinoff.
A day after Brittany revealed some revelations on WWHL, Andy commented on the situation during the April 3, 2024 episode of his radio show, Andy Cohen Live.
“I thought that Brittany was very open. I appreciated her honesty,” Andy stated. “Will they get back together? I don’t know. I think they might.”
In contrast, his listeners disagreed. A “Work the Polls” yielded 88 percent of viewers saying they don’t think Brittany should reconcile with the former VPR bad boy.
“She knew where those votes were going,” Andy said of Brittany’s reaction to the results. “She really did.” Andy saw hope in the positive manner in which the former Sur waitress described Jax’s parenting. “She said he’s a great dad, which I loved hearing,” he reflected. “I really loved hearing that.”
Would their relationship status affect their standing on the The Valley?
Andy’s radio co-host John Hill suggested that the Bravolebrity duo would have to stay together “for the show.”
“Well, no,” Andy disagreed. “They could be separated on that show. They could be divorced. Look at Tom and Ariana [from ‘Vanderpump Rules’]. [The show] it’s about couples getting along, co-parenting, friend group.”
“They could also exist as a divorced couple on that show. Co-parenting,” he added.
It’s worth pointing out that Jax and Brittany continue to work professionally together and appeared at recent events. But they have security in Andy’s words. They are welcome back on The Valley regardless of their relationship status.
