The Bravoverse has been in shambles since finding out that Candiace Dillard Bassett would walk away from The Real Housewives of Potomac after Season 8.
The Drive Back singer confirmed her departure in an earlier interview, saying she was ready to “embark on a new chapter after six remarkable years” with Bravo and RHOP. “I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth, and moments of introspection that have defined this journey.”
And if her announcement wasn’t enough, Robyn Dixon, one-half of the Green-Eyed Bandits, also shared her departure news. “I was fired,” she said on her podcast, Reasonably Shady. “I will not sugar-coat the situation the situation and say, ‘Ooh I am walking away and this is a break’ or anything like this. This [was] a network decision.” But that doesn’t mean there’s no place for Robyn and Candiace on Bravo in the future. Andy Cohen praised them both during an episode of his SiriusXM show, Andy Cohen Live, and said he’d like to see them back in the mix one day.
Andy sings Candiace and Robyn’s praises…
Before Andy discussed the possibility of Candiace and Robyn returning, he took a few moments to give them the respect they deserve for making RHOP so great.
“Robyn Dixon has been there since day one and has opened up [on her] unconventional family life … with Juan Dixon,” he said. “I mean, they’ve known each other since high school. His parents [have] passed. They are family, those two. What is clear is they are actually family and will always be.”
Regarding Candiace, Potomac’s resident cryangle holder, Andy said the reality star has “contributed mightly” to the series, including showcasing her music journey, which he believes will be “pretty big.”
It’s still too soon to tell whether they’ll be back for a future season, but according to Andy, it’s something he’d like to see.
“[I] wish both Candiace and Robyn well, and I do hope to see both of them back on our Potomac screens in the future.”
