Brittany Cartwright has fueled rumors of an affair between her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, and their publicist, Lori Krebs, by unfollowing the two of them on Instagram.
Just two months after Jax, 44, faced backlash for cozying up to Lori in an Instagram pic, Brittany, 35, has distanced herself from both of them, at least on social media.
Last Friday, Bye Wig Hello Drama wondered if the separated couple has been faced with “drama with the publicist” as they confirmed Brittany unfollowed Jax and Lori.
“Maybe Lori is no longer Brittany’s publicist… but unfollowing Jax is interesting. They are still recording [podcasts] together etc,” the outlet noted on April 19.
“Maybe Lori just took Jax’s side in the separation and is no longer representing or speaking with Brittany. Jax stills follows Lori though,” they went on, later noting that Jax was not featured on the latest episode of their shared podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany.
During an April 19 interview with Us Weekly, Brittany opened up about Jax potentially dating someone new, saying, “I don’t think I would like it.”
She then cryptically added, “But we might end up…” before clarifying, “I’m not really sure.”
Speaking of her own dating life, Brittany said the concept of dating is “so weird” because she’s “been with the same person for nine years, almost 10.” That said, she did have an idea of what she’d like to do on her potential first date.
“Start with like a nice dinner and stuff. Let me get dressed up. Something easy to begin with,” she described.
As her and Jax’s separation continues, Brittany, who admitted she’s not sure if she has access to Jax’s location after disabling his access to her, said she’s not looking forward to their marital drama playing out on screen.
“We did pick the cameras back up to talk about the separation so it’s going to be hard to relive that and have everybody’s opinions on that,” she explained. “So I think that’ll be the hardest [part]. Other than that, Jax and I had a lot of ups and downs, but we didn’t have a huge moment until the separation.”
As for who created their spinoff, Brittany revealed, “Jax and I both did but he kind of spearheaded it.”
She was then asked about her most and least favorite items at their bar, Jax’s Studio City.
“Favorite is Mamaw’s Beer Cheese. Least favorite is maybe the Greek salad cuz that’s just not one of my favorites, anywhere in life, but it’s still good,” she revealed. “There’s not really anything that’s bad.”
Brittany was also questioned about Pump Rules topics, specifically whether Katie Maloney, 37, crossed a line when she hooked up with her ex-husband Tom Schwartz‘s best friend, Max Boyens.
“I don’t think so but I know everybody else probably thinks so,” Brittany admitted. “She always used to tell me that she thought he was very hot. But I mean, I don’t know. They’ve been divorced for a long time. Maybe it was more shady on Max’s part because him and Tom are so close. If Schwartz didn’t care then why does everybody else care? That’s all that really matters.”
Looking back at her time on Pump Rules, Brittany said The Valley has been easier on her thus far.
“I went through a lot on Vanderpump so we’ll say The Valley for now. Next season, who knows?” she posed.
Also during the interview, Britany said she didn’t feel that Nia Booko overreacted about Jax pulling Danny Booko’s pants down, saying she was emotional because she’d just welcomed twins, stated that a man should never grab a girl’s nipple in regard to Jesse Lally pinching Kristen Doute’s boob, and revealed if Kristen can keep a secret.
“I feel like she can keep a secret for me but not for anybody else,” Brittany shared.
She also said that when it came to who she trusted least to babysit her son Cruz, 3, that honor went to Jesse.
Vanderpump Rules season 11 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo, followed by The Valley season one at 9/8c.
