It might not come as a huge surprise, but Bruno Tonioli will be back for Dancing with the Stars Season 33. Having been a judge from the very beginning, it’s good to see Bruno back in business.
What some fans might not know is that Bruno was also a judge of Strictly Come Dancing from the very beginning. Strictly Come Dancing is the British show that would spawn the American version, DWTS.
Bruno left Strictly after 2019. Lucky for American viewers, even after 32 seasons, he has no intention of leaving the judges’ desk. Moreover, Bruno spoke about his time on Britain’s Got Talent. See his thoughts on all of these matters below.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Bruno reflected on his career as a ballroom judge. He also confirmed that he’d be back for the next season of DWTS. “I’m still doing the American one, and I’m very passionate about it, but sometimes you have to try something new. It is good doing something different.”
Bruno spoke about the differences across all the shows he’s judged on. “In a way the role I played in Strictly is different from what I do here. I’m so grateful to BGT for allowing me to show more of myself.” He added, “I’m Bruno unleashed now, darling! I can use all my range, it’s exciting.”
The judge also spoke on how his costars throughout the years encouraged him in the many career directions he chose to take. In particular, he mentioned the late Len Goodman, who passed away on April 22, 2023. “Len sent me a wonderful email just before he passed away, which is still very hard to talk about. I can’t even speak about him not being here. But that email meant a lot to me.”
