On Wednesday, September 20, a handful of Bravolebrities converged in the nation’s capital to attend “Blueprint for a Better Black America” — a prestigious annual summit hosted by The Root Institute. The all-day event took place at Howard University and included a panel discussion, titled “Bravo Stars Meet The Root.” The participants were The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Cynthia Bailey, Southern Charm’s Venita Aspen, Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard’s Jordan Emanuel, and The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Wendy Osefo and Candiace Dillard Bassett.
The Bravo ladies were tapped to discuss their reality TV careers and how they’ve used their respective platforms “to promote entrepreneurial female empowerment.”
“Thank you to [The Root] and my beautiful alma mater [Howard University] for having me serve as a panelist and lend my voice to important conversations around building the blueprint for a better Black America,” Candiace captioned a September 21 Instagram. “Truly a full circle moment for me! It didn’t hurt that I ran into one of my sheros, [DC Mayor Keisha Bottoms] and we just so happened to be channeling the pink power suit!”

Candiace not only highlighted her bright pink pantsuit, but also showcased her fellow Housewives’ amazing ensembles. Cynthia delivered a bold business-casual look, as she opted for a tangerine double-breasted suit with sexy open-toed heels. Candiace’s castmate Wendy also embraced the Barbiecore trend and rocked a form-fitting one-sleeve dress with matching heels and gold jewelry.
Fans got a closer look at Wendy’s hot-pink outfit when she posted a portion of the panel discussion in which she emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship.
“The purpose of life is to live, and you can’t live if you continue to do one thing and you’re stagnant and that’s all you do,” the assistant professor explained in the video. “You’re supposed to make mistakes, you’re supposed to try new things.”

Other photos showed Jordan wearing a more conservative yet elegant outfit that had a touch of classic school-girl style. She selected a white scoop-neck top with a cream-colored blazer, a matching pleated skirt, and a pair of tan pumps.
Venita went slightly bolder and donned a stunning button-down maxi dress that perfectly reflected her Southern Belle roots. The design featured a light blue gingham pattern with an A-line skirt and a waist tie that produced a dramatic silhouette. Venita completed the look with brown leather shoes, small hoop earrings, and an assortment of bracelets.
The Southern Charm-er also reshared a video of her and the other Bravo ladies sharing some laughs as they took a group photo on the HU campus.

The original BTS clip was posted on Cynthia’s Instagram page and garnered compliments from various Bravolebrities. The commenters included The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Sutton Stracke, The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter, The Real Housewives of Miami’s Guerdy Abraira, and RHOA’s Shereé Whitfield, who simply wrote: “Stunning beauties.”
