Most Bravo stars are getting in on the action when it comes to cashing in on their fifteen minutes of fame. You name it, and a Bravolebrity sells it. If you want an all-purpose toaster – go to Sonja Morgan. If you want control top panties, head over to Heather Thomson for her Yummie Tummie. But if you want a hard tea for a warm summer night, you reach for a Loverboy. Now it seems there is new alcohol to reach for if you want to support your favorite Bravo personality, and this new brand is thanks to the hands of Craig Conover.
Craig has been a staple on Southern Charm since day 1. And while he struggled a bit to find his footing he has blossomed into quite the entrepreneur. The Deleware native gave up his dream of being a lawyer and finally went into business for himself. The leap of faith worked as now Craig is more popular than ever with fans noting there is nothing wrong with Craig’s sewing.
There’s a new spritz in town
Craig just announced he invested and is an ambassador for a drink company that isn’t Loverboy. I mean, is this okay? I need Andy Cohen and a camera stat to catch Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s reaction. The announcement felt a bit weird, especially since Paige DeSorbo and Amanda are BFFs. With Craig now competing in the same market, I wonder how their shared passion for a seltzer will affect their friendship.
Craigy took to Instagram to announce that he was “Now an investor in @spritz! I first found out about Spritz last summer when me and Paige were on our way to @taylorswift at Metlife, and the party bus was stocked with these delicious wine spritzers.” According to the Sewing Down South owner, just “One sip was all it took for me to realize they were onto something, and I needed to learn more about the brand – I loved the concept of a refreshing wine-based drink & how they brought everyone together.”
What is Spritz Society?
Firstly, welcome Craig to the world of canned spirits. But I am still trying to wrap my head around this new partnership. Upon finding their website, I immediately felt like I had stumbled upon a drink meant for a post-pickleball match or for a hang-out on the Montauk beach. The company was founded on the ideology that taste matters. Spritz Society takes real and recognizable ingredients and puts them into a cute can for good measure. The company was established in 2021 at the height of the pandemic when everyone needed a hard drink from time to time.
Loverboy vs. Society Spritz
Both the packaging is bright and bubbly, each with its own twist. Society Spritz comes in all kinds of flavors, such as peach, passionfruit, pineapple, blood orange, lemon, and grapefruit. Loverboy has spritz flavors like Limoncello, Blueberry Lemon, Passion Fruit Guava, Mango Peach, and Kiwi Pear. I can’t help but feel that Spritz Society is eerily similar to Loverboy. The price point isn’t that far off, with a Spritz Society four-pack costing $25 and a Loverboy eight-pack costing $32.99.
Now, I can’t imagine Kyle was pleased about his good friend inching into his territory. But business is business, and maybe Craig just couldn’t turn down the money. Loverboy has been established for a few years now and is a direct niche for the Bravo audience. Spritz Society has been served at Taylor Swift concerts and could be big with the Swifties. But I am curious if Craig thought to run it by his friend. In the end, friends should be happy for their friends no matter what. So, hopefully, Kymanda didn’t have a total freak-out. But if I’m being honest, I think I would have.
Craig is the endorsement king
Even though Craig is very successful with his pillow brand, Sewing Down South, it seems there is room for more money in his bank account. Recently, Craig partnered with Panera Bread and launched their new menu to rave reviews. Craig also showed off his new backyard and shared his new collaboration with Home Designs. The self-proclaimed male Martha Stewart has dreamt about launching a home line for years and isn’t letting his creative mind rest.
