Muhammad Ali was remembered by sports journalist Frank Deford at the 92nd Street Y.
While interviewing Ali in the early ’70s, Deford recalled that the champ “all of a sudden got up and walked over to a piano and played ‘The Tennessee Waltz.’”
Deford recalled another time during an animated conversation at dinner, Ali had fallen asleep.
But when Ali woke up, he was immediately “on” again. His feet even did “a dance beneath the table.”
