There’s a new update on The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s future, this time revolving around Kenya Moore. As RHOA fans know, Season 15 underperformed in terms of viewership.
Atlanta as a franchise was on the decline for a few years, but Season 15 was where it saw its lowest point yet. Further, fans assumed that the franchise would receive the Real Housewives of New York treatment – a full-cast reboot.
However, while even Andy Cohen admitted that RHOA needed some tweaking, the idea of a total reboot was shot down when Porsha Williams announced she’d be returning. Now, she won’t be the only familiar face to come back.
Few fans are surprised by Kenya’s return

On April 11, LOVEBSCOTT broke the news of Kenya’s return for the upcoming RHOA Season 16. This came as quite a surprise to some fans given the recent news around Kenya’s former costars. For those unaware, Sanya Richards-Ross, Kandi Burruss, and Marlo Hampton all recently announced their departure from the show.
So far, that would make Kenya the only Atlanta Housewife from Season 15 to return for Season 16. When LOVEBSCOTT tweeted the announcement, it was met with mixed reactions. Many fans on Twitter already expected Kenya would be returning. “That’s not news,” one reply said.
Another figured, “mean we didn’t know for sure but we knew Bravo would do anything to have her back… because what else is going on?!” Another reply expressed fear that there would be too many storylines revolving around divorce, given Kenya and Porsha’s current situations. On top of that, if Drew Sidora returns, RHOA could feature marital problems all around.
The confirmation!
On Friday, April 12, Kenya confirmed the news herself on Instagram saying, “I may be Gone With the Wind Fabulous, but I’m not Going anywhere!” Buckle up everyone…
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is streaming on Peacock with Season 16 expected to air in late 2024.
