Charles Barkley has made it a habit of weighing in on just about everything, and during the latest edition of Shannon Sharpe’s podcast “Club Shay Shay”, he chimed in on the now-former relationship between Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, and Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa.
Jordan, 33, and Pippen, 49, dated for a little more than a year — with multiple breakups — and raised plenty of eyebrows due to their connections to the longtime Bulls teammates who won six NBA titles together during their time in Chicago during the 1990s.
When Sharpe asked Barkley how he’d feel if a former teammate of his had started dating his daughter, the TNT talking head said that “hell yeah” he’d feel strongly about it.
Then Barkley dove into the situation with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
“I feel bad for Michael; I feel bad for Scottie. That is so messy,” Barkley said. “I don’t like messy because when it’s messy everybody has an opinion on it. Everybody has an opinion and you know the Internet is not a place for messy. And you have to understand that there’s a lot of kids involved and people are mean. It’s unfortunate. … I feel bad for everybody involved because I see all the pictures, I don’t do the comment stuff, but I know they gonna be mean.
“I just hate mess and it’s just really messy. There are no winners, there’s only losers, because Michael and Scottie’s relationship can never be the same.”
