Dearest Melissa Gorga. The next time that I’m back up in New York City, can we please meet up and have a drink? After the recent earthquake that hit the Northeast, your response made was so out of the box, that I just want to sit and listen to what else you’ve got to say, on everything, really. Seriously, we don’t even have to discuss Real Housewives of New Jersey, I just want for you to talk, and for me sit, taking it all in.

Zero shade. Only laughs. From one quirky mess to another. ‘Sup, girl.

Melissa thought the earthquake was a ghost

When the earthquake hit my former hometown of NYC, I quickly checked in on my people. I was happy to note that all were well. Next, I went online, checking on my Real Housewives of New York City and RHONJ girlies. They too were fine, but Melissa’s post, when listened to with the sound on, painted a pretty great picture of what this earthquake sounded like, when experienced firsthand.

As for the words on her post, these were pretty standard, as she explained that she’d “just went running up my stairs from the basement/working out while calling 911, because it sounded like a stampede was going on upstairs and then I got a notification on my phone that my front door was open! I was freaking out! That was a first!”

Ok look, as I too often think about calling 911 when I hear noises, so I’ll give you this one, Mel. Instead though, I take on a more rational approach. I like to grab something heavy, like a book. Then, I enter the room where I heard the noise coming from, politely asking, “hello?”

Don’t laugh. Ya’ll know you do it too, right?

However, on Melissa’s end, she panicked, but it’s what she shared next with ET that tickled me the hardest. “I was freaking out a little bit … and as I’m walking back down my basement steps to finish my workout, I’m like, ‘Wow! Like, I’ve never experienced a ghost before, like, maybe that was a ghost.’”

Thankfully, her Envy boutique staff then reached out, after feeling similar experiences. It was then that Melissa realized the truth.” So it’s not a ghost, that was an earthquake,” she said.
