The future is uncertain for Nneka Ihim. The Real Housewives of Potomac newbie came into Season 8 with a brand-new home she had hardly moved into and a boatload of accusations against Dr. Wendy Osefo. When the reunion came around, their feud became so culturally sensitive that Andy Cohen hardly wanted to discuss it.
Just hours after the Season 8 reunion wrapped, rumors started swirling that Nneka had already been fired from the show. Bravo has yet to confirm the news about her casting. While we wait, she recently teased to Page Six that there’s an announcement coming soon.
What’s next for Nneka?
Although Nneka’s first season wasn’t the easiest to watch, she made it clear that she enjoyed her time with the ladies. She claimed to have made genuine friendships with all of the cast, and they’ve become a “family.” So, she isn’t ready to trade in her champagne flute just yet.
“Well, I love champagne in general, so I always have a champagne flute handy,” Nneka joked.
She continued, “But I do love the show, I love the ladies, I’ve just enjoyed the sisterhood that I was able to create with all of the women on the show.”
When pressed about whether or not she had been asked back for Season 9, Nneka played coy. Unlike her recently fired castmates, Nneka said she wasn’t ready to reveal any news about her future with the show. It’s unclear if that’s a good or a bad sign.
In addition to the uncertainty around her status on RHOP, a source confirmed to Reality Tea that Nneka quietly exited her role as in-house counsel with the fintech company she mentioned on the show. We also watched her launch a line of sparkling wine during her rookie season of RHOP. Currently, the website is inactive, but Nneka promised she’d have more to share soon.
“What I can say is, you guys should please follow me on socials because I do have some news and updates and very exciting things I’m going to be sharing in the coming days,” Nneka teased.
She added, “So just kick back and wait it out, but I do have some news I’m going to be sharing.”
While we wait for Nneka to share news about the “very exciting things” she has coming up, you can stream The Real Housewives of Potomac on Peacock.
