Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL and the heir to Tom Brady.
But when the name of a 57-year-old boxer was mentioned on a popular podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar had a long pause.
“I’m scared of Mike Tyson,” Mahomes said on Impaulsive with Logan Paul and IShowSpeed.
Mahomes discussed a ton of things as he participated in a relaxed and fascinating chat, comfortably sitting on a couch while wearing a sparkling Prime chain around his neck.
Among the topics that the three-time Super Bowl champion and MVP discussed: Aaron Rodgers, conspiracy theories, his voice, whether Brady really is the GOAT, and a Chiefs three-peat.
But Mahomes saved his best and biggest punch for last.
The new face of the NFL broke down the upcoming Jake Paul vs Tyson fight, which immediately went viral and has continued to dominate the sports news cycle.
Jake, a YouTube and social media star, is scheduled to face Iron Mike in the ring on July 20 at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The heavyweight bout will consist of eight two-minute rounds, have the fighters using 14-ounce gloves, will be included in professional boxing records, and will be streamed live on Netflix.
Tyson was once the heavyweight world champ and one of the most popular athletes on the planet.
But fan reactions have wildly varied, with some predicting Tyson will destroy Jake, and others insisting that Iron Mike has been done for years.
Jake is favored and 30 years younger than his opponent.

Mahomes was definitely into the matchup and specifically detailed how Jake should handle one of the most powerful boxers in the sport’s history.
“If Jake can make the fight last for a little bit longer, he’s going to win,” Mahomes confidently said. “But if he gets hit the wrong way, it will not be good for him.”
Logan nodded his head in agreement.
Mahomes then teased that he might be training in the Dallas-area closer to the fight date.
The 28-year-old QB has already been selected to six Pro Bowls and won two NFL MVPs.
Mahomes recently led Kansas City to a thrilling overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, which ended with teammate Travis Kelce kissing Taylor Swift on the field.
Mahomes has stayed busy this offseason while working out his “Dad bod”.
The QB, who could have played Major League Baseball, lent his Super Bowl rings to Logan during a recent WWE match in Kansas City.
Mahomes also met Lionel Messi and gave the football superstar a private message.
The biggest boxing match of the year clearly has caught Mahomes’ attention.
