As has been previously reported, Bravo and the production company behind The Real Housewives of Potomac are set to begin filming season nine very soon. The RHOP cast will look very different as both Robyn Dixon and Candiace Dillard-Bassett are confirmed to be leaving. Plus, it’s rumored that Nneka Ihim won’t be back. However, now it seems they may have cast Stacey Rusch to join the current cast.
If the rumors are true, Stacey will be a full-time Housewife alongside Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Mia Thornton, Ashley Darby, and Wendy Osefo. Also, Keiarna Stewart is said to be returning as a friend for season nine.
TV Deets broke the news that Stacey would be joining RHOP after multiple sources close to the show confirmed to them that she’d signed on. However, this has not yet been confirmed by Bravo.
So, who is Stacey? There will be many RHOP fans who will be familiar with her work. For starters, she served as a long-time host on the popular QVC network. One clue to her joining RHOP is that she announced her departure from the network around the time she would have been in negotiations with Bravo.
At the time, she shared on social media that she wanted to focus on being a mother, which fits being a cast member on a show like Housewives.
She has also been both a host and an anchor on multiple morning shows in the Potomac/DC area. This should make her a natural on camera, albeit she’s never done reality TV.
As for her relationships, she is married, and her husband is one of the senior vice presidents at Audi. They have one daughter. Additionally, she has a connection to Karen, which means she will be the cast member introducing her to the rest of the ladies on the show. See her family below.
Of course, it’s hard to predict how people will function on reality TV, but Stacey seems to be a great fit for the show. She has a great career, and she is well-known in the Potomac area.
