LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Items from boxing legend Muhammad Ali’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame arrived this week in Louisville.
The Muhammad Ali Center said the ring and medals picture are now in the museum.
Ali, known as “The Greatest,” worked as an activist and personality celebrated around the world. He competed in an exhibition match named “The War of the Worlds” between WWE Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki in Tokyo, Japan. The two became friends after the event.
Ali retired with a boxing ring record of 56-5 with 37 knockouts. He later served as a special guest referee for the inaugural WrestleMania in 1984, which featured Hulk Hogan, Mr. T and Paul Orndorff.
