Sutton Stracke took aim at Annemarie Wiley‘s “hypocrisy” on social media after noticing that her former co-star, who confirmed her departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills last month, suddenly turned on Garcelle Beauvais.
After seeing that Annemarie, 41, had accused Garcelle, 57, of “playing the race card” on a podcast last week, Sutton, 52, slammed her ex-castmate for making the comment on a podcast just after appearing on another podcast, where she spoke highly of Garcelle and said they really bonded during filming on season 13 last year.
“We actually filmed a really fun afternoon. She came over to my house and we had this amazing talk, this awesome heart-to-heart. We bonded over so many things. We have a lot in common, like, in terms of our past and our entry into American life, Los Angeles life in particular, so we really bonded over a lot of things,” Annemarie had shared with Heather McDonald, 53, on the February 29 episode of the comedian’s podcast, Juicy Scoop.
She also said that she and Garcelle became close because they were the only Black women on RHOBH.
“With being the two Black women on the cast there are certain things that only we’re going to kind of understand, and we need to lean on each other for those things and in those kinds of instances. Garcelle and I got along great,” Annemarie continued.
But weeks later, on the April 2 episode of Reality With the King, Annemarie accused Garcelle of “playing the race card.”
“[Garcelle]’s been able to get away with unnecessarily playing the race card so many times unchallenged, because who can challenge her, right?” she noted. “The other ladies can’t challenge her, so I think that’s been her play for so long.”
Following the quick flip, Sutton lashed out.
“The hypocrisy of this woman is starting to wear at me. Great friends then to turn so severely weeks later on a different podcast? Ma’am,” Sutton wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on April 5.
Annemarie’s husband, Marcellus Wiley, 49, has also targeted Garcelle, suggesting in a post on X in March that she wasn’t truly “pro-Black.”
“[Garcelle] puts the CON in confused. Acts pro-black, but stays hating on black women in a desperate attempt to stay ‘Fancy’ on a show with No Blacks!” he stated.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 is expected to begin filming sometime later this month.
