Dina Manzo chose to protect her peace by leaving The Real Housewives of New Jersey all of the way back in Season 2. Unfortunately, her life after RHONJ has been full of drama ever since, courtesy of her ex-husband, Tommy Manzo.
The years-long racketeering cases against Tommy for allegedly hiring a mobster to beat up Dina’s now-husband, David Cantin, (twice) aren’t over yet. However, Tommy recently posted bail while he awaits more days in court.

Tommy’s on the loose for now. According to The New York Post, court documents show that the NJ restaurateur recently posted a $100,000 bond ahead of his racketeering trial.
Under bail conditions set by Newark federal Judge Susan Wigenton on March 26, Tommy handed over his passport and can’t travel outside New Jersey and New York until his trial is over. It’s scheduled for May 20.
Federal authorities accused Tommy of hiring a member of the Lucchese crime family to attack David, Dina’s then-boyfriend/now spouse in July 2015. Allegedly, Tommy offered to compensate John Perna with a thickly discounted wedding at Tommy’s Paterson, NJ venue, The Brownstone.
John and an accomplice reportedly assaulted David with a slapjack outside an NJ strip mall. John pleaded guilty to a violent crime related to racketeering. He was sentenced to nearly three years in prison.
However, Tommy’s trial faced multiple delays and setbacks. Earlier this year, it led to the dismissal of his case due to violations of his right to a speedy trial.
Tommy’s likely relief was brief. Feds re-indicted him on the same charges last month. They include violent crime in aid of racketeering activity, conspiracy to commit assault with a dangerous weapon, and falsifying records related to a federal investigation.
He also faces more pending state charges in Monmouth County, NJ. Those allege that he and an accomplice robbed and assaulted Dina and David after breaking into their home in 2017.
Apparently, NJ justice is not swift!
