Around the Bravosphere, entering a new hair era is a common occurrence, from Kyle Cooke’s iconic mullet to Tom Schwartz’s platinum blonde moment on Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules.
More recently, Whitney Sudler-Smith debuted an all-new hair look we definitely weren’t expecting, but we are so here for the Southern Charm-er’s latest change-up.
On May 1, Madison LeCroy hopped on her Instagram Stories to reveal her afternoon plans: getting drinks with her ex, Austen Kroll, plus Whitney and his mother, Patricia Altschul. When peeking at the photos, we noticed something different about Whitney: he had frosted tips.

Whitney, who typically sports a deeper brunette hair color, is now rocking blonde highlights throughout his strands, prompting us to feel some late 90’s and early aughts nostalgia, considering this was a common style at the time.
Not only did Whitney’s new hair have us excited for the sunnier months, we also loved seeing him rocking a new ‘do!
Inside Whitney Sudler-Smith’s Friendship with Madison LeCroy
Whitney has been spending a lot of time with Madison of late, recently hanging out at Charleston restaurant Leon’s Oyster Bar and snapping an adorable photo in the process.
“Brothers,” Madison wrote on top of a photo she shared to her Instagram Stories, highlighting her and Whitney’s close connection.
In the snap, Madison flashed a peace sign while wearing a casual denim shirt and accessorizing with chunky gold earrings and sunglasses. Whitney, for his part, also rocked a casual look, wearing a yellow shirt, aviator sunglasses, and trucker hat.
Whitney isn’t the only Bravoleb to go blonde recently. As Vanderpump Rules viewers know, Tom Schwartz enlisted the help of hairstylist and former situationship, Jo Wenberg, to go platinum blond.
On Season 11, Episode 11 of Vanderpump Rules, Tom paid a visit to Jo’s salon, telling her and another employee they could do “anything” they wanted, joking, “Full mid-life crisis.”
Later in the episode, Schwartz wowed his castmate Tom Sandoval at a single mixer with their friends.
“You know what they say? Blondes have more fun. I gotta say, so far, it’s ringing true for me,” he said in a confessional interview on the episode. “I’ve been just a little more upbeat, a little more pizzazz. I’m embracing my pre-mid-life crisis moment.”
