When Dani tried to get more details about Daisy’s new beau, the reality TV star played coy and responded, “Not for the time being.”
Soon after, the netizens began sharing their thoughts on Daisy’s personal life.
A Reddit user wrote, “I thought someone said she was ENGAGED to herbst and she was on an on-off relationship for YEARS with him.”
Another user commented, “Can this put to rest why she didn’t want to be the bachelorette now?! It wasn’t because she was heartbroken or anything, it was because she was back with her boyfriend. She went on the show to get her followers, and now she’s back to regular scheduled programming.”
Followed by a user who penned, “Had a feeling she was never over her ex, and went on the show for followers(again they all do that) and played the game perfectly. Yet everyone ate it up lol. Never bought once she even liked Joey.”
A user went on to say, “A major theory pretty much all season on all the spoiler subs was that she was on the show as a ploy to get back with her millionaire ex lol I can’t believe it’s actually (possibly) true.”
A fourth user said, “He’s her ex-boyfriend. Pretty sure it’s the only reason she turned down ette. We know she loves the spotlight.”
Why did Daisy Kent turn down ‘The Bachelorette’?
Before she delved into discussing her romantic experiences, Daisy Kent revealed that she had been offered the opportunity to be the lead on the 21st season of ‘The Bachelorette.’ However, she declined the offer to prioritize self-improvement and assured Ashley that her decision had nothing to do with a potential new romantic connection.
“I can actually say 100 percent that I made [that choice] on my own before I ever wanted to think about anything with anyone else,” Daisy said.
She went on to say, “Because I knew I was at this point in my life where I kind of had to be selfish and make a decision for me and what was going to be best for me. So I can say that decision definitely had nothing to do with my dating life right now.”
During the live segment of ‘The Bachelor’ Season 28 finale on March 25, 2024, Daisy declined the opportunity to accept the gig. However, in a surprising revelation, she disclosed that her choice had actually been made two weeks prior to the filming of the show.
In an episode of Nick Viall’s ‘The Viall Files’ podcast, Daisy stated that she turned down ‘The Bachelorette’ due to her health.
“[As the lead] you’re up super late, it’s nonstop. I talked to a lot of past leads when [the show] was in talks with me and I just knew from a health point it would be a lot,” she explained.
Why did ‘The Bachelor’ duo Daisy Kent and Joey Graziadei split?
Daisy, who was the runner-up on Joey’s season of ‘The Bachelor’, started questioning her relationship with him during their last date. As the final rose ceremony approached, Daisy admitted she had a feeling that something was off and she was convinced that Joey wouldn’t choose her.
To confirm her suspicions, she sought out the other finalist, Kelsey Anderson, who reassured her that she was confident in her relationship with Joey.
With this realization, Daisy understood that she was not going to receive the final rose. The two women decided to support each other and arrived at the final rose ceremony together. When Daisy faced Joey on the beach, she took matters into her own hands and ended the relationship before he could break up with her.
“I do love you, but the thing is, you’re not going to choose me. The last couple days I realized that you’re not my person and I know that you know that. And as much as that hurts I know you said you want the best for me so I’m gonna do what’s best for me and I’m gonna go,” Daisy said.
After the show, they came back together on the live after show and reconciled their differences, showing that they were on good terms. Additionally, Daisy has continued to nurture a strong bond with Kelsey, who ended up getting engaged to Joey during the finale of the show.
