\u201cThe Real Housewives of Orange County\u201d alum Lauri Peterson\u2019s son, Josh Waring, has died.<\/p>\n

The television personality shared the tragic news with fans\u00a0via an Instagram tribute\u00a0she posted Saturday that included photos of Waring throughout his 35 years of life accompanied by a lengthy caption reflecting on her heartache and his time on Earth.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with a shattered heart that I write this post to let you know that my sweet Waring left this earth Easter Sunday,\u201d she began. \u201cNo one can ever prepare you for this feeling of such deep loss. Every fiber in my body hurts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reflecting on his early years, she continued, \u201cJosh\u2019s childhood was filled with deep intellect, humor, pranks, athletics, snow boarding, body boarding mountain hikes, reading, friends and his love for music.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEven during adult hardship,\u201d she went on, \u201cJosh continued to maintain his sense of humor, continued to be optimistic, continued to be kind to others, defended those that were unable to defend themselves and continued to love his family so so much!\u201d<\/p>\n

Peterson said her son \u201creceived the most joy, pride and purpose through his daughter Kennady.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also said Waring \u201ccontinued to be optimistic\u201d throughout adulthood as he struggled with substance abuse.\u00a0Instagram\/@lauri_peterson<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n

Peterson, 63, also thanked anyone who supported her and Waring through his struggles with substance abuse. \u201cNot everyone understands those suffering from substance abuse disorder, but I am forever grateful for your understanding and the impact you made on his life,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n

Directly speaking to her late son, she wrote, \u201cJosh I love you so much and I will miss you terribly! I will forever be your \u2018Mama Bear & Mama Dukes\u2019 and every time the clock turns to 11:11, I will expect your call to tell me to make a wish!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat will I wish for now? My heart is with you and I pray you have found the peace that you so deserve,\u201d she added as she wrapped up her post. \u201cHeaven has gained the coolest angel and you have gained your freedom at last sweet boy.\u201d<\/p>\n

She did not reveal the cause of Waring\u2019s death. Page Six has reached out to Peterson for comment.<\/p>\n

As the former Bravo star noted, Waring did not have an easy adult life. Between 2016 and 2020, he was locked up behind bars after being\u00a0arrested for the attempted murder\u00a0of a man outside a\u00a0sober living\u00a0home in California.<\/p>\n

He was released after he pleaded to lesser charges once it was discovered that the Orange County Sheriff\u2019s Department was\u00a0eavesdropping on phone calls\u00a0he had with his lawyers from jail. \u201cWe only hope the lessons of Josh\u2019s case will help other inmates,\u201d his lawyer, Joel Garson,\u00a0told People\u00a0at the time.<\/p>\n

In 2022,\u00a0TMZ reported\u00a0that he was facing new charges after he was caught in possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine and attempting to sell the fentanyl.<\/p>\n

Waring is survived by his daughter, Kennady. Lauri, who was a main cast member on \u201cRHOC\u201d in its first four seasons before returning for guest and \u201cfriend\u201d roles in future seasons, adopted Kennady several years ago to help Waring get back on his feet.<\/p>\n
