Maci Bookout<\/strong>\u00a0has been on\u00a0Teen Mom\u00a0<\/strong>for nearly 15 years, but she says she has no plans to leave the world of reality television anytime soon, and for a very good reason.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

And, no, surprisingly, that reason is\u00a0not<\/em>\u00a0her big fat\u00a0MTV\u00a0<\/strong>paycheck.<\/p>\n

In a new interview\u00a0with\u00a0In Touch Weekly<\/em>, Maci and her husband\u00a0Taylor McKinney\u00a0<\/strong>admitted that they do consider it \u201call the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve talk about, and sometimes, with filming the days get long and it can get overwhelming at times\u2026.we try to make the best of it but there\u2019s been times where we\u2019ve had those conversations,\u201d Taylor said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maci said that dealing with the lack of privacy is the main reason she\u2019d consider retiring from reality TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had a camera on me since a baby was about to come out of my underage hooter. It\u2019s a lot, y\u2019all!\u201d\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>
<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u201cFor me, it\u2019s not just what you see on the show. Like, every move that we make is just so public,\u201d Maci said.\u00a0 And everything with our kids is just so public. And you can\u2019t really go out in public and be left alone\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Maci said that, even if she and her family stop appearing on the \u2018Teen Mom\u2019 shows now, the damage to their privacy has already been done and will continue to be done.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut at this point, even if we left reality TV, everything would still be so public,\u201d she said. \u201c\u2026The tabloids or magazines or blogs\u2013 they\u2019re not just going to forget that we exist and not care. So if we expect to leave [TV] and then be left alone, that\u2019s never going to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor said he has a more-altruistic reason for staying on reality TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I think, too,\u2014 and you kind of lose sight of this\u2014when someone comes up in public and says \u2018Your guys\u2019 story helps me a lot. I appreciate what you\u2019re doing\u2019 and I forget that sometimes,\u201d he said. \u201cBecause we\u2019re just going through our everyday life, and you forget that people watch and relate to it. You know, it\u2019s helps them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, it\u2019s like, we might as well keep trying to help people, you know?\u201d Maci agreed. \u201cWe keep trying to put real life stuff out there, for people to see, to laugh at, or to judge, whatever.
