Since announcing her separation from\u00a0Mauricio Umansky\u00a0last year,\u00a0The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills\u00a0mom has been quite\u00a0open about the situation and its impact on\u00a0her four children. Although she previously described the split as\u00a0\u201creally, really devastating for the whole family,\u201d\u00a0Kyle has managed to get through the challenging time with the help of her daughters:\u00a0Alexia,\u00a0Sophia, and\u00a0Portia Umansky, as well as her oldest child,\u00a0Farrah Brittany, whom she shares with an ex-husband.<\/p>\n

Kyle spoke about her family’s support during a recent red-carpet interview with\u00a0Entertainment Tonight,\u00a0roughly nine months after she and Mauricio clarified the state of their marriage.<\/p>\n

Kyle Richards says her kids have been an “unbelievable source of support”<\/h2>\n

\u201cThey just have been the most unbelievable source of support for me,\u201d Kyle said about her daughters during an April 10 charity gala.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s funny because I am the mom, but they are giving me advice and they\u2019re just so smart and so together.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cObviously, as a mom, I worry about them first. But they really have been taking care of me, too. These have been some of my most proud moments as a mom, honestly. How they\u2019ve handled all this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle Richards’ daughters were a “deciding factor” in her marital split<\/h2>\n

Kyle shed more light on her familial changes in a February interview on the\u00a0TODAY\u00a0show, saying her daughters were a “big deciding factor” in her separation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got to a point in my life where I\u2019m not getting any younger and there\u2019s certain things I didn\u2019t want in my life anymore,\u201d she told the hosts.\u00a0\u201cAnd because [Mauricio and I] do love each other and we did not have a toxic relationship and we get along, it made it even harder. I had to analyze this and say, \u2018Would I want this for my daughters?\u2019 They\u2019re at an age now where some of them are getting engaged or have serious boyfriends. Would I accept that for them? The answer was no. And I thought, \u2018Why am I treating myself any differently?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
