Following last week\u2019s episode of part one of the three-part\u00a0Real Housewives of Potomac\u00a0season 8 reunion, during which Karen admitted that she\u2019d \u201cabsolutely\u201d had work done, revealing she underwent \u201ca deep plane [facelift]\u201d in an effort to give herself a more \u201crefreshed\u201d look, her before and after photos have been shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had the great \u2013 or should I say Grande \u2013 pleasure of helping [Karen Huger] look better than ever at triple twenty,\u201d\u00a0Dr. Carl Truesdale, of Truesdale Facial Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills, California, wrote in the caption of an April 1\u00a0Instagram\u00a0clip of before and after images of Karen.<\/p>\n

\u201cI performed my signature deep plane facelift, brow lift, lip lift, upper blepharoplasty, and fat transfer to deliver a snatched face and a jawline for the gods,\u201d he continued. \u201cWhat a gorgeous canvas \u2013 she\u2019s an icon. Thanks Karen for trusting me and coming to Beverly Hills to see me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Trusdale also included hashtags for \u201cdeep plane facelift,\u201d \u201cneck left,\u201d \u201cfat transfer,\u201d \u201clip lift,\u201d \u201cbrow lift,\u201d and \u201cupper blepharoplasty.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the\u00a0American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery, a deep plane facelift is \u201ca variation that repositions tissues on a level below the [superficial musculoaponeurotic system], releasing certain ligaments and remodeling deeper attachments.\u201d<\/p>\n

This type of facelift allows surgeons to \u201cachieve more thorough lifting without tightly pulling tissues, thereby creating maximal results while retaining a natural-looking appearance,\u201d the board explains.<\/p>\n

Karen\u2019s before and after photos were shared just days after the\u00a0RHOP\u00a0cast member was\u00a0charged with DUI\u00a0following what she claimed was an emotion-fueled\u00a0car accident.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you all for your prayers and well wishes during this very frightening experience. I am still in shock from last nights incident, but grateful to be alive today,\u201d Karen said in a statement to TMZ after the incident. \u201cWith the passing of my Beloved Mother, grief comes and goes in waves, and with [Mother\u2019s] Day approaching it has felt more like a tsunami.\u201d<\/p>\n
