However, what people didn\u2019t know is that her divorce to Michael Sterling\u2014which was finalized that same month\u2014led to her drastic weight loss.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought I looked cute,\u201d Marcille told Tamron Hall on her daytime show April 9 about her appearance. \u201cI went through a divorce last year. Anyone that\u2019s ever been through a divorce knows that divorce is hard. It\u2019s like the stomach flu\u2014you will be skinny afterward. You\u2019re gonna drop at least 30 pounds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former America\u2019s Next Top Model winner added, \u201cI lost weight just naturally going through life. I found myself depressed before my divorce, through my divorce, and trying to navigate and rediscover: Who am I?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not the wife anymore,\u201d Marcille added. \u201cI\u2019m not someone\u2019s someone. I\u2019m someone\u2019s mom but if I took the mom away, if I took Madam away, if I took Top Model away, who\u2019s Eva? Who am I? And making sure that I prioritize knowing that character and building that character.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In March 2023, Marcille announced she had filed for divorce from Sterling after four years of marriage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting,\u201d she told PEOPLE in a statement at the time. \u201cOur children remain our biggest priority and the eight and half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former couple share sons Michael Jr., 5, and Maverick, 3.
