The Raiders are in need of a franchise QB but they might have to wait to get one. With the Raiders selecting at number twelve in the draft, that might be too late. It would be a huge benefit to just select a player that matches some of the team’s needs. They need a lot of help so that should be easy to select the best player available.

The solution could very well be in free agency in 2025. That will feature one of the deepest free agency classes in recent memory. Now this is all subject to change if any of these players decide to sign a contract extension with their current teams. But as of right now, this is the available list of the crown jewels on the quarterback class. Dak Prescott, Trevor Lawrence, Jordan Love, Jared Goff, Tua Tagovalioa.

The player that’s most likely from that list is probably Dak Prescott, 30. The Cowboys and Prescott have a mutual understanding that there will be no adjustment to his contract entering the 2024 season, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per sources informed of the plan. There could be a mutual split between Dak and The Cowboys. If that plays out then look for the Raiders to jump into the Dak sweepstakes. There aren’t many players that have the production that Dak has and that’s why he’ll be a very hot commodity in free agency.
