The team hasn\u2019t had a winning record in either of his two seasons and they still have major question marks at quarterback.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/896\/500\/GettyImages-1453672244.jpg?ve=1&amp;tl=1\" alt=\"Raiders' Davante Adams 'absolutely' wants to remain with Las Vegas despite  uncertainty around Derek Carr | Fox News\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Despite that, Adams has continuously made it clear that he doesn\u2019t want to be traded. He reiterated once again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I wanted to be gone, I\u2019d be gone by now,\u201d Adams told Tash Reed of The Athletic in an April 14 interview. \u201cThis is where I want to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This echoes what general manager Tom Telesco said recently when he called Adams a \u201cRaider.\u201d It doesn\u2019t appear that either side has a desire for a trade. Adams is under contract for three more seasons and is still one of the team\u2019s best players. The offense took hits in free agency with the loss of running back Josh Jacobs and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow. Had the team gone in a different direction, the offseason might not be so harmonious.<\/p>\n<p>Adams thinks that Pierce\u2019s presence is having a positive impact on the team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s already helped the morale of the team,\u201d Adams said. \u201cIt\u2019s what we were all looking for: To be able to continue with the same mindset that we had. That\u2019s our guy. We\u2019ve got to get to work now. \u2026 It\u2019s about what we go out there and do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Team morale was very low under former head coach Josh McDaniels but Pierce was able to turn things around seemingly overnight. Now that he\u2019s going to have a full offseason under his belt, it\u2019ll be interesting to see what he can do.<\/p>\n<h2>Davante Adams Knows There\u2019s a Lot of Work Ahead<\/h2>\n<p>The Raiders were trending upward toward the end of last season but this is already set to be a much different team. Most of the offensive coaching staff has been rebuilt and the team has made several key roster moves.<\/p>\n<p>Davante Adams has big goals but knows the kind of work it takes to reach them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s obvious what we want to do,\u201d Adams said, \u201cbut it\u2019s a lot of work that needs to get put in before you can even talk about doing that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Adams takes his role as a team captain very seriously. He\u2019s been working hard this offseason and he expects that from his teammates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got to be the type of guy that\u2019s about business and not just about talk,\u201d Adams said. \u201cIf I\u2019m going to be that, I expect that from everybody else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When a team\u2019s best player is going the extra mile to get ready for the season, that can be contagious for other players. Star defensive end Maxx Crosby has also been a motivator in this regard.
