While Jordan and Pippen might be beefing right now, cracks in the duo\u2019s friendship had become visible during their playing days. He even shot down the idea of wanting to be like Mike during a 1995-96 interview,<\/p>\n<blockquote id=\"article-content-block-3\" data-type=\"content\" data-variant=\"blockquote\"><p><em>\u201cNo. I want to be like Scottie. That\u2019s all I can be and that\u2019s all I ever want to be.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p id=\"article-content-block-4\" data-type=\"content\" data-variant=\"p\">At the time of this interview, Jordan was making headlines for his\u00a0<em>\u2018Like Mike\u2019<\/em>\u00a0commercial with Gatorade. In fact, Jordan and Pippen railed the Bulls to an NBA record 72 regular season wins.<\/p>\n<h2>Scottie Pippen called Michael Jordan a\u00a0<em>\u201chorrible player\u201d<\/em><\/h2>\n<p id=\"article-content-block-6\" data-type=\"content\" data-variant=\"p\">Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan have taken their beef to a whole new level after Pippen took major shots against No. 23 during an interview, calling Jordan a\u00a0<em>\u201chorrible player\u201d<\/em>. Appearing on Stacey King\u2019s podcast\u00a0<em>\u2018Gimme the Hot Sauce\u2019<\/em>, Pippen had the following to say about his Bulls teammate,<\/p>\n<blockquote id=\"article-content-block-7\" data-type=\"content\" data-variant=\"blockquote\"><p><em>\u201cI\u2019ve seen Michael Jordan play before I came to the Bulls. You guys have seen him play \u2026 He was horrible to play with. It was all 1-on-1, shooting bad shots. All of a sudden, we become a team and we start winning. Everybody forgot who he was. He was a player who was really not at the top of his category.
