\u201cIt didn\u2019t work. He didn\u2019t want to do anything. He\u2019s like, \u2018I like to stay home, I don\u2019t want to go anywhere,\u2019\u201d the famed relationship expert, 62, says while promoting her new CW reality series, \u201cThe Matchmaker.\u201d<\/p>\n

Revealing some of the feedback de Lesseps shared with her directly, Stanger says the \u201cReal Housewives of New York City\u201d alum\u2019s vibrant personality didn\u2019t mesh with the French banker\u2019s lackadaisical disposition.<\/p>\n

\u201cLuann is the life of the party. There\u2019s no way,\u201d says the former Bravolebrity, who\u2019s known de Lesseps, 58, for years. \u201cShe\u2019s like, \u2018He was so boring.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Fans speculated that the \u201cChic C\u2019est La Vie\u201d singer was\u00a0exploring a potential relationship with Sarkozy\u00a0after they were spotted enjoying a cozy Manhattan lunch date at Le Bilboquet in March. After a two-hour meal, they were photographed flashing wide smiles and linking arms.<\/p>\n

That same month, de Lesseps played down the nature of their outing. She\u00a0told Life & Style\u00a0that she and Sarkozy \u2014 who divorced Olsen, 37, in 2020 after five years of marriage \u2014 have \u201cknown each other for a while,\u201d and characterized their dynamic as strictly platonic.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMillionaire Matchmaker\u201d alum emphasizes that she was \u201cexcited\u201d about the prospect of de Lesseps and Sarkozy dating \u2014 until she heard how their time together went.<\/p>\n

\u201cListen, when somebody is negative about their marriage or their relationships and all they want to do is hibernate, they\u2019re not healthy yet,\u201d she says, suggesting that Sarkozy made it clear to de Lesseps that he still harbors feelings for Olsen.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat doesn\u2019t mean they can\u2019t be healthy, [but] I think he was depressed, from what it sounded like. I mean, I wasn\u2019t there. But I think he was depressed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe came off one of the most famous, beautiful women in the world. She was gorgeous and she\u2019s rich,\u201d she says of the child actress-turned-fashion designer. \u201cThat was not a broke chick, OK? She didn\u2019t need his money.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, de Lesseps needs to give French men a break, according to Stanger.<\/p>\n
