Reality star Faith Stowers, who first appeared on \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d in 2015 as a supporting cast member, is suing the hit show\u2019s production companies, its network Bravo, and parent company, NBCUniversal, for discrimination, retaliation, and other claims.<\/p>\n
According to the complaint filed in Los Angeles Friday and obtained by Page Six, Stowers alleges she was \u201csubjected to racism, sexual harassment and physical assault in just her first season.\u201d<\/p>\n
Stowers \u2014 who is black \u2014 claims \u201cPump Rules\u201d executive producer Lisa Vanderpump asked her to be on the show to add \u201ccolor\u201d to the cast and highlights how she was allegedly disparaged because of her race.<\/p>\n\n

She points out that co-stars allegedly showcased \u201covertly racist social media harassment campaigns,\u201d in which they accused her of going absent without official leave from her past tenure in the military, of being a thief and a career criminal that was wanted by the LAPD.<\/p>\n
The allegations are in reference to\u00a0a 2020 scandal\u00a0involving \u201cPump Rules\u201d alums Jax Taylor, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute, in which their racist behavior toward Stowers was brought to the forefront at the peak of the Black Lives Matter movement.<\/p>\n
Taylor\u2019s 2017 tweet\u00a0accusing his black co-star of committing crimes\u00a0resurfaced at the time, and read, \u201cShe\u2019s wanted by the police for grand theft auto and \u2018awol\u2019 from military, bad idea to be on a reality show dude. Someone\u2019s going to jail.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
