Tori Spelling\u00a0is opening up about why she wasn’t invited to join the cast of\u00a0The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.<\/p>\n

On the April 19 episode of her podcast\u00a0misSPELLING, the\u00a0Beverly Hills, 90210\u00a0alum, 50, shared her response when fans ask why she hasn\u2019t been cast on the hit Bravo series.<\/p>\n

“I’m like, I don’t know,” Spelling said. “Once, I asked\u00a0Andy Cohen, who I love and have known forever, been on his show many times. He was like, ‘Yeah, we keep getting this question.'”<\/p>\n

“And I’m like, ‘So, Andy, what’s the answer?’\u201d she continued. “He was like, ‘Ehh, I don’t know. You and the\u00a0Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em>? I can’t see it.'”<\/p>\n

The actress recalled Cohen, 55, asking her if she already knew the cast of the series.<\/p>\n

In response, she told the\u00a0Housewives\u00a0<\/em>executive, \u201cEvery single one of them I am friends with and have known forever and have a history.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then referenced her part as Donna Martin on\u00a0Beverly Hills, 90210<\/em>, saying, \u201cBut whoa, whoa, whoa, wasn’t I the OG Beverly Hills? I don’t understand.”<\/p>\n

However, Spelling divulged on the podcast that she wanted to directly address the casting decision with Cohen, saying, “What I really want to say to him, and I’m a little passive aggressive, so I’m like, ‘Huh! All the fans ask, Andy, so I don’t know, whatever, that’s fine. What I wanted to say is, ‘Uh, is it ’cause I’m broke? Let’s be real.'”<\/p>\n

Back in 2019, Spelling \u2014 who\u00a0filed for divorce\u00a0from\u00a0Dean McDermott\u00a0last month after 18 years of marriage \u2014\u00a0addressed a fan’s speculation that\u00a0she mismanages her money\u00a0following years of reports about\u00a0her financial woes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not great with money, and I know a lot of people read a lot of stuff about my financial things going on,\u201d Spelling, daughter of the late successful TV mogul\u00a0Aaron Spelling, admitted in\u00a0her Kin web series. \u201cI had a business manager since I was 18 years old, so I never handled any of my money. Everything, everything, went to them, so unfortunately, I never quite learned about money. Now raising kids of my own, I’m like, that is so important.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd because I’ve never been good with money, I wasn’t ever taught to deal with money properly, that’s something that’s really important for me to do as I’m learning myself now in my 40s,\u201d she continued. \u201cI really want my kids to know that before they move out on their own.\u201d<\/p>\n

That same year, Spelling discussed\u00a0the possibility of joining\u00a0RHOBH\u00a0during a conversation with\u00a0BH90210\u00a0costar\u00a0Jennie Garth\u00a0and host\u00a0Jenny McCarthy\u00a0on Sirius XM\u2019s\u00a0The Jenny McCarthy Show.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey never asked me \u2026 and it actually makes me really sad,\u201d Spelling shared as Garth, 52, said she had previously been approached to join.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey asked me,\u201d Garth said, explaining that she declined because she\u2019s the \u201cfurthest thing from a desperate housewife.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spelling then seemed to make her case to be cast as a diamond-holding Housewife. \u201cWell, I was born in Beverly Hills, so I have one thing going for me,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cI\u2019m married with a lot of kids, drama follows me everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n
