Kandi Burruss is setting the record straight on the status of her marriage.<\/p>\n

While promoting the Broadway revival of\u00a0The Wiz<\/em>, Kandi and her husband,\u00a0Todd Tucker, were pressed about recent divorce rumors circulating on social media.\u00a0The Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/em>\u00a0alum immediately dismissed the bogus claims during a sitdown with\u00a0Us Weekly<\/em>, saying she first heard about the whispers from her oldest daughter,\u00a0Riley Burruss.<\/p>\n

Kandi Burruss learned about the divorce rumors from her daughter Riley<\/h2>\n

\u201cThat was some BS,” Kandi told emphatically the outlet with Todd by her side. \u201cRiley\u00a0actually sent it to me. She was like, \u2018Why do people keep saying that y\u2019all about to get divorced?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Kandi said\u00a0she wasn\u2019t\u00a0sure what sparked the rumors\u00a0but suspects they stemmed from her and hubby’s online content. She specifically pointed to\u00a0Todd and the Glam Squad,\u00a0<\/em>a YouTube series in which Kandi gets her hair and makeup done while discussing \u2014 and sometimes debating \u2014 hot topics with her husband.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are great debaters, OK? We are passionate when we go back and forth,\u201d Kandi said about the online show. \u201cAnd I think people kind of mistook that to say we were angry with each other… We\u2019re debating the topic. We\u2019re going back and forth about this. I\u2019ve been like that my whole life. As soon as we have a back-and-forth, I can walk out the room and be like, \u2018OK, now what are we doing next?\u2019 Whereas, I guess to somebody that\u2019s watching it, they are thinking that it\u2019s more than that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Todd echoed his wife, saying viewers often misinterpreted their exchanges and blew things out of proportion.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re analyzing:\u00a0\u2018Wow, he said this’ or ‘His posture\u2019 \u2014 you know how they do,\u201d Todd told the host. \u201cBut it was just a good, fun conversation. I think people just took it wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cIt is tough because\u00a0you\u2019re always on stage and you can\u2019t really kind of relax out in public. But for me, I think from doing reality TV early on with her, I really don\u2019t pay it no mind. We know what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kandi met\u00a0Todd in 2011 while\u00a0filming a Season 4 cast trip to South Africa. Todd was working as an\u00a0RHOA<\/em>\u00a0producer at the time and was immediately smitten with the Xscape singer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was trying to play it cool in Africa as it\u2019s against the rules to cross the line with the talent,\u201d he told\u00a0BravoTV.com\u00a0in 2014. \u201cIn Production that\u2019s a big NO NO!\u2026 I loved her smile, she had a great butt! LOL! She seemed very humble and genuine.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kandi and Todd ultimately said\u00a0\u201cI do\u201d on April 4, 2014,\u00a0when Riley was just 11. Todd also entered the marriage with a teenage daughter named\u00a0Kaela Tucker, whom he shares with an ex-partner.<\/p>\n
