Two days after PEOPLE confirmed the\u00a0Bachelor\u00a0<\/em>Nation stars\u2019 split, Grippo reiterated on\u00a0Trading Secrets<\/em>\u00a0that he and Fuller, 30, \u201cdefinitely ended things.\u201d<\/p>\n Grippo, who first appeared on\u00a0Katie Thurston\u2019s season of\u00a0The Bachelorette<\/em>, credited having his relationship with Fuller undergo scrutiny early on bringing them closer together at the beginning.<\/p>\n \u201cShe has a really good heart and yeah, it sucks because you know, seeing somebody go through that type of s—, especially somebody you\u2019re with in a romantic relationship with, is really tough,\u201d Grippo told\u00a0Talk Money to Me<\/em>\u00a0author Tartick, 35. \u201cIt\u2019s really hard to watch. And I hated that part of it all. It definitely made us really close and we were definitely able to like, go through a really hard time really early.\u201d<\/p>\n Fuller, from\u00a0Peter Weber\u2019s\u00a0Bachelor<\/em>\u00a0season, and Grippo first confirmed their relationship in November 2022, following nearly three months of speculation that they\u2019d been dating.<\/p>\n At the time, some viewers thought the couple\u2019s relationship overlapped with Fuller\u2019s engagement to\u00a0Johnny DePhillipo, whom she got engaged to on\u00a0Bachelor in Paradise<\/em>\u00a0season 8. DePhillipo, 27, claimed he and Fuller\u00a0ended their engagement\u00a0in mid-September, while Fuller alleged they broke up three weeks after filming\u00a0BiP<\/em>\u00a0ended in July.<\/p>\n \u201cI think that the women in the fra Despite things not working out, \u201cI don\u2019t have anything bad to say,\u201d Grippo added of Fuller. \u201cShe\u2019s amazing and I know that she\u2019s going to continue to do amazing things.\u201d<\/p>\n The reality star said the breakup \u201cwas heavy for the both of us\u201d and accordingly, he finds himself \u201cin repair mode\u201d now. Grippo, who currently lives in Chicago, shared that he plans to get an apartment in Brooklyn, N.Y. in September.<\/p>\n \u201cThis stage of my life right now, I\u2019m really happy about and excited for,\u201d Grippo said. \u201cIt\u2019s just like, it just feels really fresh.\u201d<\/p>\n Grippo also revealed he spent $12,000 on his first date with Fuller in Rome. \u201cThe villa in Capri was, that\u2019s top-notch,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n In the same\u00a0Trading Secrets<\/em>\u00a0episode, fellow\u00a0Bachelorette<\/em>\u00a0alum\u00a0Andrew Spencer\u00a0confirmed he, too, is single following an eight-month relationship.<\/p>\n Like Grippo, Spencer, 29, found dating someone in the public eye to be challenging and said it \u201c1,000%\u201d led to his latest split.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m trying to try different things of how to navigate this public relationship because everyone you date now, everyone\u2019s going to have an opinion on it and it\u2019s hard to see hat man,\u201d the former pro football player said. \u201cAnd obviously, your partner as well, you want to protect them and they want to protect you.
