Real Housewives of New York\u00a0alum\u00a0Bethenny Frankel\u00a0is opening up about her divorce from ex-husband\u00a0Jason Hoppy\u00a0in her podcast series Just B Divorced. The former Housewife was involved in a nearly 10-year legal battle with her ex. She initially filed for divorce in January 2013 but it was not finalized until 2022.<\/p>\n
In the past, she\u2019s been tight-lipped about the ordeal but now, she\u2019s ready to share her story.<\/p>\n
Here are the biggest bombshell moments from part I and II of Just B Divorced:<\/p>\n
In part I\u00a0of the series, Bethenny shared that she was drawn to her ex because of his charm but over time, she began to see the trait as more of a negative quality.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis life coach that I know believes that \u2018charming\u2019 is usually only used for men, not women,\u201d she said. \u201cIn small, tiny doses it\u2019s a positive but in large doses\u2026it\u2019s toxic. It\u2019s a toxic trait.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201c[Charm] is something you\u2019re attracted to initially and then eventually, it becomes nauseating,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt becomes insufferable after a while.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bethenny revealed that there were signs the\u00a0relationship was doomed\u00a0before the wedding day.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt [felt] wrong,\u201d she said. \u201cIt all [felt] wrong. The way that we argued [felt] wrong and the way that I [was] spoken to [felt] wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said at the time, she found excuses for not leaving the relationship.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was pregnant, I was not happy in my relationship. I kept going because I was doing a television show, I was very stupid,\u201d she told listeners.<\/p>\n
She urged listeners who had doubts about their relationship to get out now and not stick around like she did.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you do not know that it\u2019s right, it\u2019s wrong,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
On Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny and Jason looked like a perfect couple but behind the scenes, it was a different story.<\/p>\n
According to Bethenny, she and her ex almost broke up \u201cmany times\u201d before saying \u201cI do\u201d in 2010.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wanted to break up,\u201d she said, adding that fear and outside pressure prevented her from walking away.<\/p>\n
