\u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d personality\u00a0Jo Wenberg, who appeared on season 11, shared she does not believe the show\u2019s production was happy with her former friend,\u00a0Tom Schwartz.<\/p>\n

On the April 11 episode of \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d alum\u00a0Rachel \u201cRaquel\u201d Leviss\u2019 podcast,\u00a0\u201cRachel Goes Rogue,\u201d\u00a0Wenberg stated that \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d producers encouraged her to discuss her romantic relationship with Schwartz on camera.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe producers on the show were the ones that really helped me open up. Be like, \u2018You really need to speak about this.\u2019 And I wouldn\u2019t have done it if it wasn\u2019t for that. I would have kept my mouth shut,\u201d said Wenberg.<\/p>\n

Wenberg stated that the producers told her that they were \u201cseeing a different side\u201d of Schwartz\u2019s behavior. According to the hairstylist, Schwartz had been minimizing his relationship with her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey really, really were pushing to be kind to me. Because they saw it before I did. And they didn\u2019t have to showcase that,\u201d said Wenberg. \u201cBut they decided to be like, \u2018We\u2019re sick of this.\u2019 I think in their mind they were sick of the Schwartz behavior. And they were like \u2018Let\u2019s actually show someone who\u2019s really blindsided.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old then stated she was \u201cgrateful\u201d for the producers.<\/p>\n

While recording the April 11 \u201cRachel Goes Rogue\u201d episode, Wenberg stated that she and Schwartz had been \u201cdating\u201d and \u201cwere in love.\u201d She said she was upset that Schwartz denied they were in a relationship in front of \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d cameras.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would tell each other we loved each other. And we would be extremely just in our own bubble. And we liked it that way, and the cameras would come up, and it was like I didn\u2019t even exist,\u201d said Wenberg.<\/p>\n

In addition, she stated that she discussed her relationship with Schwartz at the \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d season 11 reunion. According to Wenberg, Schwartz\u2019s castmates were unaware of the nature of their romance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were baffled. It was really neat to see kind of like a gasp of like, \u2018Oh, [Schwartz] not only lied to Jo,\u201d said Wenberg. \u201cBut you lied to us, and you also lied to [Bravo producer] Andy [Cohen], and you lied to everybody. And like it\u2019s very clear throughout the season that you guys were together. But we all thought that Jo was the liar. And when in reality, Jo was the one who was being honest.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The hairstylist, who no longer speaks to Schwartz, shared that his ex-wife,\u00a0Katie Maloney, \u201capologized to [her]\u201d at the reunion.<\/p>\n

During an April 2024 Us Weekly interview, Maloney stated that the \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d cast did not know \u201cwhat was truly going on\u201d between Schwartz and Wenberg during the production of season 11.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were getting a very different version. Or really no information from Tom about what was happening,\u201d said the 37-year-old.<\/p>\n

Maloney suggested she was surprised to see \u201ctheir dynamic\u201d when \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d season 11 aired.<\/p>\n

\u201cGetting Jo\u2019s perspective on the whole thing was very eye opening. And I kind of did feel for her. Because he was giving her the run around,\u201d stated the reality television star.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on an April 2024 episode of Nick Viall\u2019s podcast, \u201cThe Viall Files,\u201d\u00a0Schwartz discussed his relationship with Wenberg. He acknowledged that they had a sexual and romantic relationship. The 41-year-old stated he decided to \u201cpull away\u201d from her for \u201cvery valid reasons.\u201d He also said he believed he should have had better communication with Wenberg.<\/p>\n

\u201cI should have just told her why I was pulling away. But it was going to be a confrontation if you knew what I was going to say. And I just didn\u2019t have the energy to do it. So I guess I sort of just passively, respectfully pulled away,\u201d said the 41-year-old.<\/p>\n

Schwartz also suggested he did not appreciate comments Wenberg has made about him on podcasts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see she\u2019s going on podcasts and kind of leaning into the role as a victim. I don\u2019t want to invalidate her feelings because they are very valid. But it sucks,\u201d said Schwartz.<\/p>\n

He clarified that he believes \u201cJo is a great human.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to tarnish her reputation,\u201d continued the Schwartz & Sandy\u2019s co-owner.<\/p>\n
