Head coach Antonio Pierce, who recruited Daniels at Arizona State,\u00a0has spoken glowingly\u00a0of the young quarterback, and star wide receiver\u00a0Davante Adams\u00a0has\u00a0endorsed the idea\u00a0of the team drafting him.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/GettyImages-1813581362.jpg?quality=65&amp;strip=all&amp;w=780\" alt=\"Jayden Daniels-Raiders Speculation Goes Wild Ahead of Draft\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The only problem is that Daniels is likely going to be a top-three draft pick and the Raiders don\u2019t make their selection until No. 13. However, there could be things happening behind the scenes. Former LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers players with Daniels and is also expected to be a top-10 pick. The two were recently on Instagram Live together when Nabers decided to drop some insight into where the quarterback might end up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cY\u2019all are never going to believe it. Regardless, there\u2019s\u00a0been a lot of filtration between Daniels and the Raiders. It\u2019s a situation to watch.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>How Las Vegas Raiders Can Get Jayden Daniels<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/bdc2020.o0bc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/LSU_Alabama_Football_59818-6602308c78999-768x432.jpg\" alt=\"Report: Patriots could pick between Maye, Daniels with No. 3 pick\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If the\u00a0Washington Commanders\u00a0at No. 2 plan to draft Jayden Daniels, there\u2019s no avenue for the Raiders to get him unless the quarterback refuses to play for them, which is unlikely. If Daniels gets past No. 2, then things get interesting.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0New England Patriots\u00a0at No. 3 need a quarterback but also have many other needs. If they were to trade down with the Raiders, they\u2019d get at least a few draft picks in return. If they\u2019re not ready to start their quarterback clock right now, they could be a trade partner for Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s also the possibility that Michigan\u2019s J.J. McCarthy continues to rise and gets selected before Daniels along with UNC\u2019s Drake Maye. If Daniels is available at No. 4, the\u00a0Arizona Cardinals\u00a0don\u2019t need a quarterback and could be interested in trading down with a team like the Raiders. It\u2019ll be difficult for the Raiders to add Daniels but it\u2019s not entirely impossible if they\u2019re willing to pay.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Washington Commanders Likely to Take Jayden Daniels<\/h2>\n<p>While the Raiders will likely continue to eye Jayden Daniels until he\u2019s drafted, it could be a moot point. According to Fox Sports\u2019 Colin Cowherd, the Commanders are planning to select Daniels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been told the Washington Commanders as of today would choose Jayden Daniels,\u201d Cowherd said during the\u00a0April 8 episode\u00a0of \u201cThe Herd.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There are still a few weeks before the draft so things could change. Drake Maye was widely considered the second-best quarterback in the class up until recently. It appears that Daniels has leapfrogged him on the Commanders\u2019 draft board.
